For March, Equal UA Reading Club will be meeting at the Tremont Branch of the Upper Arlington Public Library on Wednesday, March 20, at 7pm.

Meet Your Legislator Day, hosted by Frack Free Ohio and two other organizations

Tuesday, March 19, 9:30am-4pm, The Galbreath Pavilion [side entrance to Ohio Theatre], Rm. #1 [in basement], 55 E. State St.

On March 19, join us for “Meet Your Legislator Day”. Many of you have told us that you want to learn more about what happens after a bill is introduced in the Ohio Legislature. We thought that the best way to do that would be to hold an educational training event followed by citizens meeting up with their legislators.

Science Sundays: The Story of Earth — How Life and Rocks Have Co-Evolved

The grand and intertwined tale of Earth’s living and non-living spheres is just now coming into focus. Robert M. Hazen clues us into our planet’s 4.5-billion-year saga of dramatic physical, chemical and biological transformations, and explains how the co-evolution of life and rocks unfolded in an irreversible sequence of evolutionary stages.

2019 Social Justice Awards Luncheon

Friday March 15, 2019, 11am-1pm, The Boat House at Confluence Park, 679 W. Spring St.

Columbus made national history recently when the very first Social Justice Park was dedicated and opened up at the corner of E. Broad St. and Cleveland Ave.

It is fitting that we as a community come together and celebrate those whose work and leadership in community service, public service, education, law enforcement, restorative justice, and legal advocacy to demonstrate their commitment to Justice for All.

Dances of Universal Peace

Saturday, March 9, 7-8:30pm, Columbus Mennonite Church, 35 Oakland Park Ave.

The Dances of Universal Peace are simple, meditative, and joyous circle dances that celebrate the variety of spiritual paths on Earth. If you like folk dancing, you’ll be right at home here. No previous experience is needed — just an open and willing attitude. Participation, not presentation, is the focus.
