Avenue for All is a festival championing the vision that Parsons Ave., and indeed the South Side, are a place for everyone, no matter our age, political affiliation, race, religion, or economic background. While historically Parsons Avenue has been a dividing line, it has the opportunity to be a gathering space for the whole community. We invite the community to experience the beauty and power of the South Side’s rich history and diversity and be a part of creating an Avenue for All!

Friday, May 3, everywhere in the world

World Press Freedom Day was proclaimed by the UN General Assembly in December 1993, following the recommendation of UNESCO’s General Conference. Since then, 3 May, the anniversary of the Declaration of Windhoek is celebrated worldwide as World Press Freedom Day.

It is an opportunity to:

• celebrate the fundamental principles of press freedom;

• assess the state of press freedom throughout the world;

• defend the media from attacks on their independence;

Wednesday, May 1, 6-8pm, Two Dollar Radio Headquarters, 1124 Parsons Ave.

What could a genuine radical accomplish on Columbus City Council? What should they prioritize? How should they interact with the activist community?

Join Columbus DSA this May Day to meet our endorsed City Council candidate Liliana Rivera Baiman, ask her your questions, and share your ideas for the future of our city.

Hosted by Columbus DSA.
