The doors will open at 8pm; the music will begin at 8:30pm.

Requested donation: $5.00.

All proceeds benefit Star House for local youth who are experiencing homelessness.

Cash donations will be accepted during the show; clothing, coats, shoes, and toiletries will also be collected.

Sunday, August 4, 7pm, Columbus State Community College Center for Technology and Learning, 290 Cleveland Ave. [Rm. 123] (southeast corner of Cleveland Ave. and Mount Vernon Ave.).

Central Ohio residents will gather to commemorate the 74th anniversary of the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. This concert will feature Rocco Di Pietro’s original pieces along with Korean, Japanese, and American works representing a loneliness experienced by all oppressed people who seek peace.

Join the Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association [OEFFA] for an unsurpassed night marking our 40th anniversary! Surrounded by picturesque Jorgensen Farms and their premier event space, diners will enjoy guided tours of the farm, a social hour with local drinks and local hors d’oeuvres, and a delicious locally-sourced meal with beer pairings. Thursday, August 1, 7-8:30pm, Compassionate Communication Center of Ohio [inside of Maynard Ave. United Methodist Church], 2350 Indianola Ave.

Join us for an engaging and fun introduction to Compassionate-Nonviolent Communication (NVC), the Language of the Heart, led by Susanna Warren.

People of all experience levels, ranging from beginners to experienced practitioners, are welcome to this gathering. We will have a short explanation, a demonstration, and then we will give everyone a chance to practice giving and/or receiving empathy.
