Session Four: Achieving Health Equity in America’s Opportunity City

To recognize and commemorate the 100th anniversary of women’s right to vote, we invite you to the 2020 Lunch and Learn Series focused on a woman’s journey in Columbus. The five engaging sessions will focus on barriers facing women in the community and how everyone can contribute to reducing gender discrimination.

In an effort to protect those most at risk of coronavirus complications, we will be providing a virtual clinic. You’ll be able to talk to a trained lawyer over the phone or through Zoom about the name and gender marker process.

Virtual Legal Clinic participation requires pre-registration at least 24 hours before the clinic. To participate in this clinic, please pre-register by 5:30pm on 5-19-2020.

As many of us are cheering the incredible heroism and sacrifice of health care providers and other essential workers during this pandemic, abortion health care providers and staff are met with condemning protests and legislative bans. The essential health care that many pregnant persons need because of the variety of life circumstances often exacerbated by the pandemic make access to abortion care even more critical.

Equality Ohio’s legal clinic provides free legal support to LGBTQ Ohioans, within 300% of the poverty line, who are experiencing legal hardship because of their sexual orientation or gender identity/expression.

Due to community health concerns regarding COVID-19, we are currently suspending our in-person legal clinics. Instead, our attorneys will be hosting virtual Intake Hours throughout the week. If you are in need of legal help, please contact the attorney closest to your area.
