This year’s panelists [Cameron A. Granger, Baseera Khan, Dr. Shawnita Sealy-Jefferson, and Kyle Strickland] will discuss the ever-evolving questions and demands raised by artists, activists, and public health leaders since the global COVID-19 pandemic and social justice movements ignited in 2020.

Participants in “Bringing the Border to Columbus: A Virtual Symposium” will gather for introductions and an opening ceremony with Paloma Martinez-Cruz. Although this event will be at 10am and is by invitation only, a recording of this event will be shared on our website on Monday at 12noon.

This event will be facilitated by Paloma Martinez-Cruz, Associate Professor, Latino/a Cultural and Literary Studies, The Department of Spanish and Portuguese, The Ohio State University

The Walk’s mission is to facilitate peace, justice, and reconciliation by engaging faith groups and other communities in dialogue, reflection, and action through an annual Interfaith Peace Walk.

This year’s theme: “Reemerging, Rebuilding, Reimagining Relationships.”

Come join us for a virtual concert held by Annie Patterson and Peter Blood, where we will seek to “repair the breaches” — from the ravages of the virus, racism, fear, and the many breaches that divide us from each other — within our nation, our city, and our families.
