Serpent Mound is an internationally-known National Historic Landmark built by the ancient American Indians of Ohio. It is an effigy mound in the form of a snake with a curved tail. This two-part slide presentation by Mort (Marty) Schmidt will teach you how to identify Ohio broadleaf, i.e., non-conifer, trees, with an emphasis on recognition by leaves, but also including pictures of the bark, fruits, flowers, berries, etc.
