“20 Years Later” is a virtual film festival commemorating the 20th anniversary of September 11, centering on the theme of peace and justice. Featuring films across 20 years, including brand-new releases, each film is paired with a live panel discussion that will feature producers, directors, 9/11 family members, and/or subjects of each film, and will be open to audience questions.

Join us for the 55th Upper Arlington Labor Day Arts Festival! Here are some highlights for this year’s event.

• 120 juried artists with artwork, to purchase and enjoy, in a variety of mediums including jewelry, ceramics, wood, sculpture, and more.

• One main stage with a great lineup of performing artists. Feel free to bring your own chair to enjoy the music as seating will be limited.

40 Days of Teshuvah” offers a powerful model for integrating Jewish spiritual tools and technologies like prayer, teshuva, and Mussar into the work of social change in general and racial justice in particular. This short film, by director and producer Hannah Roodman, documents last summer’s 40 Days of Teshuvah action in Grand Army Plaza.

The recent withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan was quickly followed by the rise to power of the Taliban. This stark change in the situation marks a shift in U.S. imperialism and the situation that is facing Afghan workers and peasants.

In this meeting, we will discuss recent articles covering the current situation and Afghan history to try to get a grasp of what these developments mean for the struggle against imperialism and for international socialism.
