Sunday, May 1, 2pm, Goodale Park, 120 W. Goodale St.

May 1st, known as May Day, is also International Labor Day. This date was chosen to commemorate the Haymarket Affair, the aftermath of a bombing that took place at a labor demonstration on May 4, 1886, in Chicago’s Haymarket Square. What better way to celebrate than learning about your own local labor history? Join Columbus DSA for a labor history bike tour of Columbus this year on May 1st!

Sunday, May 1, 1pm, Blendon Woods Metro Park [Dogwood Reservable Shelter], 4265 E. Dublin-Granville Rd.

COWC is a non-profit organization that educates, empowers, and advocates for and with low-wage and immigrant workers in Central Ohio. Your support allows us to keep fighting wage theft, make sure workers know their rights, and push for policies that protect workers. We also have a “ticket” option for those who can’t make it in person on May 1st, but still want to donate in solidarity at the link below!

Saturday, April 30, 7pm, Columbus Mennonite Church, 35 Oakland Park Ave.

R.J.’s original songs are compelling, emotional, inspiring, and introspective. While they have a personal feel, they also have a universal appeal because they focus on themes like taking chances, belonging, creativity, and being our true selves.

That’s why R.J. has been honored by the Kerrville Folk Festival, Sisters Folk Festival, Rocky Mountain Folk Festival, Mountain Stage, and many other musical venues.

Accompanying R.J. on guitar will be veteran Columbus musician, Brian Szuch.
