Rainbow UA is proud to announce this year’s Pride event on Sunday June 5, 1-5pm, on the Mallway in Upper Arlington, at 2096 Arlington Ave. Rainbow UA is thrilled to have the support of many small businesses within our community for a youth-focused Pride event. Unlike many other Pride events, this is an alcohol-free event. UA Pride is an event for young children and teens, families, and community members.

Thursday, June 2, 7:30-8:15pm, this on-line event requires advance registration

Join Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service (LIRS) and the Delaware-Maryland Synod ELCA on Thursday, June 2 at 7:30pm for “Stand Up, Speak Up: An Interfaith Prayer Vigil for Ukraine.” Featuring speakers from diverse backgrounds and faith traditions, testimonies from local Ukrainians, and advocacy opportunities, the vigil offers an opportunity for all to gather together and demonstrate support for our Ukrainian neighbors.

Wednesday, June 1, 7pm, Land-Grant Brewing Company, 424 W. Town St.

Kick-off Pride Month with a movie night benefiting Kaleidoscope Youth Center at Land-Grant Brewing Co. We’ll be watching the classic film “To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar.”

This is a free event; no registration is required. 20% of proceeds from beer sales will be donated to support LGBTQIA+ youth in our community.

Wednesday, June 1, 12:30pm, this on-line event requires advance registration

Come out to learn an introduction to gender, sexuality, and the history of Pride from an abolitionist and Black feminist lens.

We’ll cover information on pronouns, gender identity, and offer a breakdown of each part of the acronym LGBTQIA+ — including historical notes on what it’s meant to be “queer.”

You will have the chance to learn about Black LGBTQIA+ people throughout history, gender diversity around the world, and the radical roots of Pride.
