“Inhale/Exhale” is a space for restorative healing for organizers and activists in our lovely ecosystem. We welcome all organizers in the progressive and left movements to honor their bodies by resting and entering this space to learn various ways to heal.

Don’t miss out on “Thou Shall Not Kill: A Conversation about Faith and the Death Penalty!” This virtual event, featuring Sister Helen Prejean, the renowned author of “Dead Man Walking,” will take place on February 28 at 7pm.

• Rev. Dr. Amariah McIntosh, policy director of the Ohio Council of Churches

Join us for a virtual workshop with financial expert Elaine Grogran Luttrull of Minerva Financial Arts. She will review the U.S. federal tax basics that every artist and creative entrepreneur should know, including common deductions, which records to retain for tax purposes, and effective systems for tracking expenses and income. She will also review the general federal income tax landscape and updates for 2023.

Join Hunger Network in Ohio for a Young Adult Faith and Advocacy Webinar on February 27 at 7pm on Zoom. We are inviting both leaders within young adult communities and young adults in both those and surrounding communities. Leaders are invited to sit back and listen to young adult voices during this time, but there will be opportunities for leaders to also join the conversation.

Join the Brain Injury Association of Ohio in advocating for Ohio’s brain injury survivors. Lunch will be held from 11:30am to 12:30pm in the Statehouse Atrium; appointments with legislators will be scheduled throughout the day. Please register in advance for both the training day and the advocacy day.

“As A Matter of Black” is a documentary that chronicles the work of local artists during a time of civil unrest. After a viewing of the film, Donte Woods-Spikes, the filmmaker, will talk about the motivation behind his work and will lead a discussion with artists who were featured in the film.

Registration cost: $15/participant; $10/member participant.

This Bizarket will highlight love in its many forms. The Free Love Market was our first Bizarket last year and has a special place in our hearts. Expect food, libations, entertainment, more vendors, a larger space, and a strong art community to indulge yourself in while at Milo Arts.
