Join us for Brain Injury Awareness Day, March 14, 2024, at the Ohio Statehouse!

It is time for the General Assembly to address the shortage of services for individuals with brain injury in Ohio. 1.9 million adult Ohioans have experienced a traumatic brain injury in their lifetime.

The current level of state-supported funding to provide community-based brain injury services in Ohio is $550,000 or 5 cents per resident. Compared with our neighboring states, we are grossly underfunded.

Through the partnership of TransOhio and Equitas Health, with support from local community groups, the Ohio Name Change Legal Clinic offers confidential virtual discussions with trained volunteer attorneys to help you navigate the process! Come with all of your questions and leave with the paperwork you need.

For our March meeting, we are thrilled to welcome our friend Mia Lewis with Citizens Not Politicians. Mia will give us an update on Ohio’s campaign to defeat gerrymandering and to draw fair legislative maps and will tell us how we can get involved.

We are also excited to welcome Franklin County Auditor Michael Stinziano and Franklin County Clerk of Courts Maryellen O’Shaughnessy, who will give us an update on the ways that they are serving the people of Central Ohio.
