We hope you can join us for the 2024 Chapter Convention on Saturday, April 27, 11am-2pm, at the Columbus Metropolitan Library, 96 S. Grant Ave., Rm. 2-B. For those unable to join us in-person, a virtual attendance option will be made available. For those attending in-person, as with our general meetings, food and childcare will be available, and masks will be provided and required.

Brazilian union leaders of the two-million-member labor federation CSP-Conlutas and members of the United Socialist Workers’ Party (PTSU) will speak about their experiences building international solidarity against imperialist attacks in Palestine and Ukraine. Hear their history of struggle against dictatorship in Brazil and how they are fighting against attacks on workers by their own government, bosses, and the far right today.

There is a strong link between brain injury and housing instability and homelessness. This presentation will explore the connection between the two and identify strategies and approaches to support housing stability in brain injury survivors and prevent and end homelessness.

More than 40 trees, including elm, hornbeam, redbud, cherry, and Japanese maple, will be dedicated at 2pm Sunday, April 28, in the Washington Gladden Social Justice Park, 404 E. Broad Street, next door to First Congregational Church, United Church of Christ. These trees have been given in honor or in remembrance of a variety of people and help to beautify the unique Social Justice Park while supporting the City’s Urban Forestry Masterplan. All are welcome to attend this brief ceremony.

This family-friendly event will feature local music, fun activities for children and adults, food and drinks, and booths from a diverse array of sustainability-focused vendors and non-profits.
