“Black Women + HIV Patient Empowerment Series,” hosted by Stonewall Columbus and Equitas Health Institute

Tuesday, March 15, 6pm, this on-line event requires advance registration

Join us for a virtual/online Patient Empowerment conversation with Dr. Olivia Nathan on the topic of Black Women living and thriving with HIV. This event will feature self-care tips and strategies for living, thriving, and persevering with HIV.

The Patient Empowerment series centers the experiences of LGBTQ+ community members with matters of health and healthcare. With an emphasis on uplifting intersectional lived experiences, the series gives voice to the issues important to LGBTQ+ communities while empowering panelists and audiences to become advocates for themselves, each other, and our communities.

Stonewall Columbus, founded in 1981, is a cornerstone of LGBTQ+ life in Columbus. Today, Stonewall’s mission and vision is to “increase visibility, inclusion, and connection for the LGBTQ+ community so we see a community where all of us thrive.” The Equitas Health Institute is the education and research division of Equitas Health, focused on reducing LGBTQ+ and HIV health disparities. Through the Patient Empowerment series, the two organizations engage local and regional LGBTQ+ communities in a shared goal of reducing stigma and promoting good health for all.
