Join us for the first in a new webinar series titled “Black Studies Matter.” Our first webinar will be hosted by interim chair of the Department of African American and African Studies at The Ohio State University and Distinguished Humanities Professor Adélékè Adéẹ̀kọ́.

This series of webinars addresses the current state of Black Studies as a discipline in the academy and how it pertains to Black people globally. This webinar series brings together educators, students, community activists, civic leaders, and the general public to discuss topics emanating from Black Studies, and, importantly, to develop action-oriented strategies for social justice in the academy and in global communities.
