“AAPI [Asian, Asian American, and Pacific Islander] History in Ohio’s K-12 Curriculum (S.B. 214) Testimony Workshop,” hosted by OPAWL [Ohio Progressive Asian Women’s Leadership]: Building AAPI Feminist Leadership in Ohio

Wednesday, February 2, 7-8pm, this on-line event requires advance registration

Call to Action: Give Verbal and/or Written Testimony to the Primary and Secondary Education Committee in support of S.B. 214

We need your help to show support for requiring AAPI [Asian, Asian American, and Pacific Islander] history inclusion in Ohio’s K-12 curriculum! Senate Bill 214, introduced by Sen. Tina Maharath and co-sponsored by Sen. Kenny Yuko, requires the inclusion of AAPI history in Ohio public schools. The Ohio Senate Primary and Secondary Education Committee will likely be holding a proponent testimony hearing for S.B. 214 during the week of February 7 at the Ohio Statehouse. The final date and location of this testimony will be confirmed closer to the date.

Join OPAWL [Ohio Progressive Asian Women’s Leadership] and our partners to learn how you can submit and give in-person and/or written testimony in support of the bill. We will provide information, resources, and guidance so that you will be able to participate in this important process. We will share a toolkit that you can use and share with other members of your community.
