1960s-style Folk Music Sing-Along, a fundraiser for the Central Ohio Folk Festival

Sunday, April 22, 3-5pm, Byrne’s Pub, 1248 W. Third Ave.

Join the Folk Ramblers (Carl Yaffey and Bill Cohen) as we sing the classic folk songs we remember from decades ago. We’ll do songs made famous by folks like Pete Seeger, the Kingston Trio, John Denver, Malvina Reynolds, Harry Belafonte, Peter Paul and Mary, the Weavers, and others.

With Carl on banjo and Bill on guitar, memories of a half-century ago will come flooding back as we all sing together. We’ll do tunes like “We Shall Overcome,” “Puff the Magic Dragon,” “If I Had a Hammer,” “Michael Row the Boat Ashore,” and “Turn! Turn! Turn!” Bring your hands for clapping, your feet for tapping, and your voice for singing.

Admission is free but we will welcome donations for the upcoming Central Ohio Folk Festival [to be held May 5-6, 2018].
