The slaughter goes on, usually in the name of war, which reduces human life to, at best, a strategic abstraction. Dead civilians – dead children – are collateral damage, which means they’re nothing at all.

How can we be more than just spectators as we learn, every day, more stunning details about the hell going on across the planet? How can the human race stand up collectively to the cancer of war? Humanity, in the name of nationalism, has essentially organized itself against itself: We’ve declared one another “the enemy,” which means that only some of us are human. The others are simply in the way.

And nowhere, as we all know, is the news more hellish and shocking than the stories that emerge daily from Gaza, which continues to undergo, in full view on social media . . . genocide. It looks like this, according to CNN:

Introduction 

This post focuses on examples of Trump’s inflated self-image as a president who sees himself as being above the law, his implausible notion of making manufacturing in the U.S. a dominating global force, and how, as one example,

his policies harm the poor.

#1 - A thirst for power

Trump casts himself as a superior president, among the best 3 or 4 presidents in U.S. history. Indeed, he has said his presidency is like being a king. He has also viewed himself as a “messiah,” as Robert Reich notes, Donald Trump keeps comparing himself to Jesus. “Whether he actually has a messiah complex or is just conning his supporters, he's playing to a growing GOP faction that wants America to be a white Christian Nationalist state, with Donald Trump as a divine ruler. Be Warned” (https://tiktok.com/rbreich/video/7384440520371899694)

I write this as someone who has long worked across ideological divides to bring people together around shared values of health, freedom, and stewardship of the land. I have dedicated my life to helping heal the broken systems that shape our food and our future.

I write this with deep respect for the courage it takes to lead, and with a profound commitment to the principles that unite us: The right to nourish our families, the freedom to protect our health, and the responsibility to care for the land that sustains us all.

This is a call to action for leaders, for the MAHA community, and for every American who believes that a healthy future is worth building, and where necessary, fighting for!

If you were harmed by a product that caused cancer, infertility, or liver disease, would you expect to have the right to seek justice in a court of law? Most Americans would answer yes. No one understands that principle better than America’s farmers, who have long been both stewards of the land and, increasingly, frontline victims of chemical harm.

Original Sin How About Original Spin? WOW!!! There are no words- Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson you had one job!! In a time when 64% of Americans report having "not very much" or "no trust at all" in the media according to the Pew Research Center. You two so-called “journalists” and the media outlets that pay you, put the cherry on the sundae. Collectively you all chose to sit on critical information about the unraveling of American democracy until it could be packaged, bound, and sold at Barnes & Noble.

Donald Trump’s lethal fossil/nuke attack on the US renewable energy industry is poised to destroy America’s ability to compete in global markets for the foreseeable future. 

“Drill baby drill” and yet another “nuclear renaissance” are Trump’s siren calls for a destroyed American economy.

Despite Trump’s “Big, Beautiful” hype, wind, solar, geothermal, battery storage and other green sources are far cheaper, safer, cleaner, more reliable, faster to build and job producing than fossil fuels and nuclear reactors.

Thus, more than 80% of the world’s new energy production continues to come from wind, solar, geothermal, battery storage and other green sources.  Both nuclear power and fossil fuels are in steep global decline.

Though photovoltaic cells were first deployed at New Jersey’s Bell Labs in 1957, the booming solar panel industry is now dominated by China. The U.S. does have the capacity to produce a substantial 50 gigawatts of solar panels every year.
