Opinion
Israeli officials keep repeating that Israel is fighting on multiple fronts. The truth is that Israel chooses to fight on multiple fronts. The two claims are fundamentally different.
Recently, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu went as far as saying that his country is fighting on seven different war fronts, all driven by the objective of "defending ourselves against ... barbarism."
These supposedly defensive wars are also carried out in the name of protecting "civilization against those who seek to impose a dark age of fanaticism on all of us," Netanyahu said in a speech in early October.
The U.S. government often claims to stand for the rule of law, but this past year has made it painfully clear that this doesn’t apply to Palestinians. The moral, financial, and security costs of U.S. support for Israel’s rapidly expanding wars are adding up for Americans, too.
Since October 7, 2023, around 42,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza, plus over 700 more in the West Bank. Over 1,100 Israelis have been killed, too. These tragedies are a direct consequence of Israel’s illegal, U.S.-backed occupation of Palestinian territory and its war on Gaza, which must both end immediately.
While the name of the next president is unknown, some outcomes of the election can be foreseen. For instance:
· President Biden’s successor will be a dangerous militarist.
Both Donald Trump and Kamala Harris are supporters of boosting already-huge Pentagon budgets along with continuing U.S. warfare in many forms. Trump likes to pander to voters who don’t want endless wars, but his actual policies as president kept them going. Harris’s glimmers of senatorial interest in scaling back military largesse faded into standard bellicosity. Both candidates beat cold-war drums, with Trump focusing on China rather than Russia.
· If Trump wins, corporate Democrats and mainstream media will blame the Harris campaign for not moving rightward enough.
We are living in a golden age of humorous political commentary. This is not surprising, given the abundant comic material oozing from every pore of the American body politic these days. From Donald Trump’s bizarre declarations about illegal immigrants (“They’re eating the dogs, they’re eating the cats!”) to Kamala Harris’ indigestible word salads (“It’s time for us to do what we have been doing, and that time is every day”), from Marjorie Taylor Greene’s befuddled culinary claims (“Pelosi’s Gaspacho Police [are] spying on members of Congress”) to Tim Walz’s addled declarations (“I’ve become friends with school shooters”), the comedy quotient in American public life has never been higher.
As a continuation of Mary Jane’s coverage of the 2024 general election, this article will focus on cannabis-friendly candidates and issues. Let’s get started!
HOW TO FIND CANNABIS FRIENDLY CANDIDATES

The situation in North Gaza is beyond the word catastrophic:
horror, massacres, extermination. People are shot on site as they even try
to evacuate injured people, medical personnel are targeted, hospitals are
targeted. No food or water allowed. Israel simply rejected UN and
humanitarian organization access. People are dying by injuries and by
thirst. It would be more merciful to drop a nuclear bomb on them. All to
clear North Gaza for Zionist nefarious schemes to control its natural
resources (e=and control the whole region). In some places they simply
rounded people up, forced the women and girls to the south and took men and
boys (we remember mass executions like this in 1948 ethnic cleansing). IN
other cases they simly sent robot explosives to clear neighborhoods or
bombed people (men, women, children) from the air. How could we tell our
children and grandchildren that we had a chance to stop this and did not,
Please see the below small examples of what is happening and write letters,
stop the world to stop a genocide. Speak out, act now urgently. The horror
is beyond description.
On Thursday October 16, 2023, Commander Yahya Sinwar was killed above the ground after a gun battle with the IOF in Rafah. He was found above ground wearing a combat vest loaded with extra magazines, hand grenades, and an AK by his side alongside three of his bodyguards. He was not hiding in a tunnel among civilians or using the hostages as human shields to protect himself as Israel always claimed. And most certainly Sinwar was not dressed up as a woman to avoid detection.
A local game creator has taken a stab at the indie card game scene—literally. Don’t Get Stabbed was developed by Jordan McLaughlin, a Columbus resident whose passion for horror movies has led to a thrilling, laugh-out-loud game perfect for parties and casual game nights
Don’t Get Stabbed brings together classic horror movie tropes with fast-paced laughs in a perfect blend of humor and horror. One player is the Killer. The rest play as Victims. Victims take turns drawing cards and trying to avoid being “stabbed” by the game's slasher, all while building alliances, plotting escapes, and trying to survive the night. The Killer tries to kill all the victims by “stabbing” them three times.
The idea for Don’t Get Stabbed first sparked during a casual game night in 2018 when McLaughlin’s cousin suggested he create his own card game. He started working on the game the very next day. McLaughlin spent weeks going to the local library after work to teach himself how to illustrate the game. “I didn’t have money to hire an artist, so I knew I had to figure this out for myself.” Said McLaughlin.
